1) As part of the recent MLA-funded project, ACCES was able to commission a report on the current state of ancient Egyptian and Sudanese collections in the UK. 2) In 2007-2008 ACCES held a series of workshops with funding from Museums, Libraries, Archives. The first of these, looking at issues surrounding visible storage, was held 18 September 2007, and a summary of this workshop can be downloaded by clicking on the following:

The second workshop, ‘Object Lives – marks on objects’, was hosted by Birmingham Museum on 30th October 2007. Petrie Museum curator and ACCES core member Stephen Quirke presented a paper on the A. J. Arkell card index to marks on objects in the Petrie Museum. The fourth workshop, ‘Displaying Ancient Egypt’, was hosted by Bristol City Museum and Art Gallery on 20th March 2008, included the following presentation by Bristol curator and core ACCES member Sue Giles, which can be downloaded by clicking on the following:
